Download: Wikipanion and Idea sketch or popplet.
Read the following and use idea sketch or popplet to create a mind map to capture what you learned in 5 mins.
Come up with two options of how to use iPads in the classroom. Show the pros and cons of each.
Then create a concept map showing your thoughts.
Next share your idea with some at your table, add to the web you created. Select the option you chose to go with and explain why.
Consider the other ways people at your table chose and discuss.

or watch the news and look at ways values such as tolerance, fairness, poverty are depicted in the news. compile your results in a spreadsheet (numbers) or with idea sketch to show a concept map.
Explore a concept such as democracy. Use Getty Images to find an image of people depicted engaging in a cultural activity in a responsible way and ask:
  • What is happening in this image?
  • How do you know?
  • How do the images capture the issue?
  • What further research is needed after seeing the image?
